Meeting our goal as a parish community is an essential part of meeting the overall Catholic Charities Appeal goal. The fact is that the Appeal has not met its goal for several years, and as a result, the charitable programs that benefit from it fall short of what they need.
If you gave to the Appeal last year, I urge you to give at the same level this year, and to increase your gift if possible. If you have not given to the appeal in recent years, I have a suggestion: If you give $1 each week in the Sunday collection, please consider making a $5 gift to Catholic Charities. If your weekly offering is $10, please consider a $50 gift. If your weekly offering is $50, a $250 gift to Catholic Charities will help us meet our parish goal.
Not all of us cam give the same amount, but I hope that each of us can give something, to support the charitable work that so many of our brothers and sisters rely on. -
